a classic。 it’s melodic and the illustrations are beautiful。 not only do i relate to the protagonist and his anti-hero ways but the overall message really gets to the heart of 4-year-olds especially if you read it in a funny voice to get their attention。 i understand pout-pout fish and he understands me。

I like that each of the pout pout fishes friends try to get him to smile。 In the end he realizes he can be a kissy fish and spread joy that way！ I really liked the illustrations in this book。
